- Panic started playing this reggae tune back in 1987, but we've only just recently discovered its true origins. Apparently, this tune was originally recorded by the reggae artist General Echo in the late '70's. It was written by his producer Winston Riley, and seems to have been General Echo's biggest hit. General Echo a.k.a. 'Ranking Slackness', whose real name was Errol Robinson, was shot by Kingston (Jamaica) police in 1980. WP picked this song up from a now-defunct reggae band from Cleveland (JB's old stomping grounds) called I-Tal.
