Perfection Breeds Insanity

Perfection breeds insanity
Well it seems so very plain to me.
But I can't stand if I'm plain you see,
Please release me and let me see.
Oh, perfection breeds insanity
And it feels so very true to me.
How can I stand tall?
When I'm down on my knees, begging you please lord.
Why do I feel so small when I'm dreaming? (might be "Why do I feel so small, am I dreaming?")
And I wondered through the trails and I was looking at all the trees,
And I wondered, who it could be that was looking at me?
And were they watching me grow? Were they watching me die?
And should I take your time to say hello?
Find all my good things and wave goodbye.
Perfection breeds insanity
Well it feels so very cruel to me.
Find in yourself now, what you see in me.
Oh, then let's forget insanity.
And now some fools having a party goin' on in my head,
I don't know whether to join 'em or leave.
You showed me, inviting back, something that I once said.
But I was speaking, ooh, no I was speaking,
When I should have been dead.
